Behind the Lens: Pine Tree Arch stands almost as a doorway to another world. I lined up my shot on the shadow side using the reflected light to illuminate the arch so it wasn’t in deep shadow. Even though it was a blue sky day, the blue contrasts perfectly with the oranges of the landscape.
