Held by the Light

Assateague Island , Maryland

I was walking the beach on a cold January morning looking for interesting designs in the sand. I came across this shell that had settled among the ridges of the sand. Sunrise was coming soon so I quickly set up my tripod and camera and captured this shot right as the first light was hitting.
