Guardian’s Embrace
Olympic National Park, Washington
Behind the Lens: I had a plan. I wanted to photograph sea stacks along the Washington coast while I had the chance. I made my way to Rialto Beach to see what I could get. What I got was flat gray skies, rough ocean and periods of rain. Not what I needed to get the shots that I wanted. I pivoted and started looking for more intimate scenes on the beach. That's where I found this washed up log that gathered rocks left by the tide. I set up my tripod and camera and came away with this intimate scene.
By bringing this print into your home, you aren't just owning a moment of nature's resilience, you are actively protecting it, with 5% of your purchase going directly to The Nature Conservatory.
