An intimate photo of a lone orange leaf covered in frost.

Frosted

Appalachian Trail, Maryland

Behind the Lens: I woke up one morning and looked out the window. On the adjacent mountain I saw that frost clung to the ridge tops. I made my way to an access point for the Appalachian Trail and started hiking. There were a lot of interesting views but none were working for photography. That’s when I came across this single oak leaf covered in frost on the ground.
