Behind the Lens: While honeymooning in Hawaii, I made the mistake of not using enough sun screen on my feet and ended up with a huge blister on the top of my foot that limited me for a few days. Fortunately our hotel had a nice tropical garden area right outside our door. In the evenings I would spend a little time searching the garden for geckos or birds. While waiting for the sunset, this gecko gave me a show by flashing his dewlap while clinging to a tree. I realigned myself to backlight the gecko so the sun could illuminate the bright orange. After a minute or two he flashed his dewlap again and I was able to come away with this image.
