At the Edge of the Tide
Assateague Island, Maryland
Behind the Lens: I noticed two sanderlings searching the beach just above the tide line for their next snack. I kept trying to get photos but they would come so far then fly off to start their hunt over again. I studied them to understand their pattern then set up my shot. I lied down in the sand and waited for them to come to me when I capture this image.
